Youth Programs at Elwood

Kids & Teens in the Kitchen – the first Mon., Wed., Fri. of each month @4pm 
For kids in grades K-12 learn a new recipe. The kids get to chop, measure, cook everything, and eat what they have made!

Toddler Time– Thurs. @10:30am and 3:00pm
Children ages 18 months through preschool (and caregivers if needed). Sing and dance, read stories, play games, and do arts and crafts.

We ask that your toddler only attends one class each Thursday as the same theme will be taught in both the morning and afternoon class.

Twilight Tales Wed. @4pm
Children in grades K-5th grade are welcome to join us for a fun, new activity each week. We offer different crafts, games and even snacks.

Teen ZoneEvery Fri. @4pm
Teens in grades 6th-12th are invited to join us for activities like VR Game nights, movie nights, and YA Book Clubs.

Lego Club-Kids of all ages are invited to test their building knowledge with new challenges each month for all of our avid LEGO builders.

Tech Tuesday-Second Tues. of each month @3-6pm
K-12th graders are invited to join us to experience the different tech that the library has to offer. From VR, iPad’s to robots.

Adult Programs at Elwood

Book Club– the second Mon. of every month @1pm  or 5pm Book discussion primarily focused on the mystery genre. Ask for a copy of the latest read at the library today and join us!

Creative Writing Club– the third Tues. of every month @3:30pm The Write Idea is a group of creative adults that write: novels, poems, memoirs, articles, blogs, etc. We encourage each other and learn more about the writing process. We are always welcoming new members, so we hope you check us out!

Beginning Genealogy – 2nd Thurs. of every month @ 5:30pm Beginning Genealogy is a monthly program held to discuss resources and techniques to find your family’s history.

We also offer a program or craft once per month geared to adults. These have included learning how to DIY crafts like crochet and cupcake decorating, karaoke, genealogy workshops, paranormal investigations, charcoal and acrylic art workshops, and many more!
